Beyond my academic passions, I’m someone who finds joy in staying active, creativity, and connecting with my community.
I'm a proud participant in Unified Sports, where individuals with and without intellectual or physical disabilities play together as teammates. Inclusion has always been a core value in my life, and it's something I’m dedicated to continuing into adulthood.
I love getting lost in a great book, binge-watching films and TV shows, or experimenting in the kitchen. Cooking is one of my favorite ways to relax; especially when I’m home from college, making dinner for my family. As the youngest of five daughters, family plays a huge role in my life, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I also enjoy crafting and working with my hands. Whether I’m building miniature DIY houses or creating handmade gifts for people I love, crafting always brings me joy and helps unwind me if I’m feeling stressed.
Travel has also been a major influence on who I am. Since I was young, my family has taken two-week summer road trips through all 48 contiguous states. Those adventures taught me patience, curiosity, and the value of experiences over material things.
Staying active is important to me, too. I played soccer for 15 years, finishing my competitive career as a senior in high school. These days, I love being outdoors and playing sand volleyball, tennis, basketball, or pickleball whenever I get the chance.
